Are you enjoying the harvest bounty from an allotment or veg patch this autumn? If not, now is the perfect time to prepare for next year and potentially shave over £1,000 off your annual grocery bill.

This is according to National Society of Allotment & Leisure Gardeners, which found that allotment holders spend an average £202 growing vegetables and fruit every year that would sell for £1,564 in shops.
