Zara and Mike honeymoon in Cyprus

Last week newlyweds Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall finally managed to find the time for a belated honeymoon.

But the down-to-earth couple didn't jet off to a tropical paradise - they enjoyed a package deal to Cyprus instead.

The affectionate couple stayed at the Columbia Beach Resort near Limassol, where they mingled with other guests and sunbathed beside the busy pool.

The couple arrived at the resort last week, just 48 hours after Tindall flew back to the UK after England's World Cup defeat and Zara finished competing in horse trials in the Netherlands.

They spent most of their time sunbathing, reading and sharing an iPad and seemed happy to be spending some time together.

Which just goes to show that they have obviously put the tensions of the last few weeks, when Mike was spotted flirting with his ex-girlfriend at a bar in New Zealand, well and truly behind them.
