Singer Whitney Houston was reportedly threatened with being kicked off a plane in Atlanta, Georgia, because she refused to buckle her seat belt.

The superstar became angry when flight crew insisted that she buckle her seat belt for take-off.

She allegedly refused and staff threatened to have her removed unless she complied with their request, according to TMZ.com.

The web site reports that the star eventually agreed and the plane was cleared for take-off.

A source is quoted as saying: "(Houston) overreacted a little bit after missing an earlier flight."

She was on her way to Detroit for her first day of shooting a new movie.
