Public sector job losses underestimated

We all heard the clear message when public sector cuts were announced: front line staff would not be severely affected. We were told that we wouldn't see masses of doctors, nurses, servicemen and women and fire officers packing the lines at the jobcentre. This was an attack on waste and not on people.
However, a new report has revealed that this massively underestimated the devastating effect the cuts would have on jobs.
