Amazon to sell Kindle Fire at a loss

It's the $199 price of the Kindle Fire that really made consumers sit up and take notice. Amazon is selling its tablet for less than half the price of the rival Apple iPad. But the company is also selling its device for less than it costs to make it. And that reveals much about the business model.
