Women: wear skirts, not trouser suits, to succeed!

It's like the feminist movement never happened. Women are better off wearing skirts than trousers if they want to get ahead in the workplace, the latest research shows.

Trouser suits, championed by Hollywood sirens Marlene Dietrich, Katharine Hepburn and Greta Garbo, became popular after Yves Saint Laurent invented Le Smoking in the 1960s (based on a man's tuxedo), and have been the default option for power-dressing women ever since.
