Cut price coupon may be a rip off

The coupon websites have become a phenomenon over the last year. Nowadays millions of us wake every morning to an email in our inbox inviting us to get our eyebrows plucked, eat out on a Wednesday, take a weekend in the country or buy a box of fruit and nuts for a fraction of their full price.

But while it may feel like the opportunity for a small cut-price treat every morning, the watchdog has warned that it may just be a rip off in disguise.
