Twenty endangered Siam baby crocodiles have hatched at a zoo in Laos.

Chris Hallam from the New York-based Wildlife Conservation Society confirmed the births, revealing that the eggs were found in a lake in Southern Laos and were taken to the zoo for protection.

According to the Express, the babies will be released in 18 months time to join the estimated 300 other Siam crocodiles living in south east Asia.

Siam crocodiles are known for their relatively passive nature, and can grow up to 10 ft long.
