How to choose and remember a secure password

I needed three passwords before I even started work this morning – one to check my online banking, another to buy an advance train ticket and a third to purchase a gift from a leading online retailer. I needed reminders for the second two – its just impossible to remember so many.

In fact, the average person uses uses 10 online passwords and PINs a day, so how are we supposed to keep track?
