Video: Massive Porsche crash at Imola

Motorsport's organisers can keep tweaking the rules to make racing safer and reduce the amount of crashes, but some incidents just can't be predicted.

A case in point is the Porsche Carrera Cup race at Imola earlier this month, where Max Busnelli's car suffered a puncture and spun into the path of Marco Mapelli. Mapelli's car headed towards the barrier and flipped into a series of side-on and end-over-end rolls before landing the right way up on the side of the start finish straight.

Thankfully the safety gear in the car does its job, as both drivers involved get out and walk away from their wrecked cars within a few short moments. Click below to watch the video.
