Could credit card debt cost you your house?

Credit cards have become such a part of every-day life that we forget just what a threat they can pose to our financial well-being. Soon a small amount of short-term borrowing snowballs, and before you know it, you owe £1,000, £10,000 or even £30,000. The Consumer Credit Counselling Service said it was contacted by 90,000 struggling home owners last year, each with an average debt of £30,160 on credit cards and personal loans.

And the real horror of this figure is that these debts could end up costing you your home.
