Government requests solutions to 'drugalyser' problem

The introduction of a 'drugalyser' moved one step closer to reality this week as the Home Office revealed its specifications for a station-based device.

The document asks the private sector to produce a prototype capable of testing for the presence of cannabis, cocaine, amphetamines, heroin or methadone on a swab taken from the suspects mouth.
