No-one's celebrating as traffic wardens turn 50
It has been 50 years this winter since the introduction of traffic wardens into British life.
What started as 40 officers on the streets of Westminster has now exploded into a nationwide mini-industry of more than 18,000 wardens generating more than £600m annually.
