Video: Brit racing driver survives IndyCar horror crash

Updated

A British racing driver was lucky to escape this horror smash with just a badly broken leg after his car was launched into the air following a collision at last weekend's Indianapolis 500.

Mike Conway will be sidelined for at least three months as he recovers from a compound fracture to his left leg. The Briton was airlifted to hospital after his Dreyer & Reinbold IndyCar was ripped apart as it hit the catch fence surrounding the track.

Conway was looking good for a top 10 finish before the accident occurred. Click on the link below to watch the video.
