Jaguar and Land Rover made a £32m profit for the year ending March 31 2010, according to figures released by the brands' owner Tata Motors.

This came about thanks to an increase in sales to 193,983 vehicles from 167,348 in the previous twelve months. The UK played a major part in this resurgence, with retail sales improving by 25 per cent at Land Rover. The Jaguar XF was a standout success too, as it saw sales rise by 28 per cent.
