Video: Mini somersaults into crowd during race

Incredibly only two spectators required hospital treatment after this spectacular Mini Challenge crash at the 2010 Ipswich 300 event in Australia over the weekend.

The race car, driven by Kain Magro, 23, rolled across the gravel trap and somersaulted over the wall into the crowd. Magro was also hospitalised, but not thought to be seriously hurt.

This is not the first time a car has hit spectators at a race event, and is unlikely to be the last, but considering the size of the gravel trap and the height of the wall the Mini cleared, the Ipswich organisers can almost certainly chalk this one up to a freak accident.
