Video: Official Hennessey Venom GT footage

Following the snatched, shaky video of the Venom GT we revealed a couple of days ago, Hennessey has released its own footage of the stretched, V8-powered Lotus Elise testing on UK roads.

We'd certainly advise you take another look. First and foremost, Hennessey's video treats us to the Venom's soundtrack; an endearing mix of stock-car howl and Mad Max Interceptor burble.

Rumours circulating the internet suggest that the GT is capable of 0-60mph in 2.2 seconds and 262mph flat out. Those are Veyron shredding figures. We're inclined to think them optimistic, but we do like the idea of a Bugatti-beater testing on UK roads.
