Top Gear scales Icelandic volcano

The Top Gear team has been spotted driving up an active volcano in Iceland while filming the show's next series.

Fans of the world's biggest car programme may remember that Clarkson, Hammond and May attempted to scale a volcano in last year's Bolivian special, and failed miserably due to the effects of oxygen deprivation at altitude.

Clearly that stunt gave someone in the production team a taste for volcanic ash and molten lava, and last month's eruption in Iceland must have been the perfect excuse to deploy the dynamic trio.
