Audi R8 V10 takes 2010 World Performance Car title

One of Autoblog UK's favourite cars has been dubbed performance car of the year at a ceremony in the US.

The Audi R8 V10 was named 2010 World Performance Car at the New York Auto Show – the second time the car has won the award after the V8 version took the title in 2008.

The jury of 59 automotive journalists also awarded the new Volkswagen Polo World Car of the Year at the same event.

We like VW's diminutive hatchback too, but we know which winner we'd like to spend 2010 commuting to the Autoblog office in.
