Peugeot scoops top prize at What Car? awards
Peugeot scooped the top prize at the prestigious What Car? awards in London's Grosvenor Park Hotel last night as the 3008 was named Car of the Year.
Reaction to the Peugeot 3008's victory is likely to be mixed. The car beat off several other worthy contenders, including the VW Polo, the Audi R8 V10 and the Skoda Yeti to the overall title.
It also saw off competition from the Volvo XC60 and Skoda Yeti to win a newly-created Crossover category. Elsewhere, the Polo grabbed the Supermini title and the Audi R8 was named best performance car.
Other winners on the night included the Renault Megane Renaultsport 250 Cup and the Land Rover Discovery, while the Audi A1 picked up the Reader Award despite not having been officially seen in pictures yet.
