The new Volkswagen Polo

Updated

The new Polo shows its independence but keeps it basic shape, with a similarity to the Golf VI still being clearly evident. Volkswagen successfully carried the Golf concept into the next segment down. The width of the body has increased moderately compared to that of its predecessor, while the height has been reduced. The interior of the Polo offers space for five people and offers the sensible layout of a Volkswagen, as is associated with the Golf. To begin with, the Polo will be available with seven engine options, of which four are petrol and three diesel. These include the newly-developed TDI and TSI engines. The variations in power range from 60 to 105bhp, with the most powerful engine being the 1.2 TSI. The car will reach dealers in 2010 and will be on sale at 12,150 euros.
